Ultimately, don’t stress too much about these! While you should try your best to follow these rules, also know that the Balinese are extremely forgiving to people about these sorts of cultural faux pas. However, you may stand out and make friends if you take pride in being a good and acculturated tourist.
Keep an Open Mind!
Overall, it’s important to be open-minded when you are learning about their culture and practices, which may seem strange and new to you. Things like being expected to walk inside a classroom barefoot or even the act of eating with your hands may surprise you, but it is important not to judge and instead take time to understand and respect these important norms!
